VW Cup 2025 - Tournament Overview

Dates: December 29, 30 & January 2 (December 31 may be added if registration numbers require — no games past 4 PM)
Location: Techniplex, St. John’s
Format: 7v7 (including goalkeeper) • Two 25-minute halves • Minimum 4 games per team guaranteed
Entry Fee: $750 + HST per team

👥 Age Groups

The tournament is open to boys and girls teams in the following birth years:

• 2011/2012 ? U15 Division
• 2013 ? U13 Division
• 2014 ? U12 Division
• 2015 ? U11 Division
• 2016 ? U10 Division

We’re also offering Competitive (tier 1) and Development  (tier 2) divisions where numbers allow — this ensures good matchups and balanced play for all teams.
Each division requires a minimum of 4 teams and can accommodate up to 8 teams.

📋 Roster & Rules

• Max 14 players per roster 
• Players may be on two teams, but not within the same division
• All players must sign a waiver before participating
• Tournament is fully insured under Rain City Athletics / Turf’s Up Sports (independent from NLSA insurance)

We’ll provide referees, field marshals, and medals/awards for all division winners and finalists.

🕓 Schedule & Refund Info

• Schedule release: December 8
• Refund policy:
• 50% refund if you withdraw before December 1
• No refunds once the schedule is released
• Full refund if a division doesn’t fill or your team can’t be accommodated
